Abstract: Man is responsible for his actions and for the results of those actions. Responsibility is logically based on the social relations of man. Legal responsibility is a necessity so that members of a society can exercise their freedoms and understand their rights and obligations. All this is true in any society, but is particularly true in |free| societies. Responsibility based on social relations provides a logical basis for legal responsibility. An equitable law of product liability would recognize the responsibilities of all parties: manufacturers, sellers, buyers, users and third parties.

Keywords: product liability; liability law; moral responsibility; legal responsibility; strict liability; warranty; negligence; misrepresentation; safety.
