Abstract: Physical vanity relates to a person|s, often excessive, concern for physical appearance and/or positive view of appearance. The study presented attempted to establish measurement invariance of the physical vanity scale across three extremely diverse cultures with samples from China (N = 502), India (N = 156) and the USA (N = 338). The results from a series of confirmatory factor analyses indicate that the physical vanity scale is applicable to culturally differing countries. Implications of findings are also discussed.
