Abstract: Traditional teaching methods can cause several problems when training employees. The main reason for employees not wishing to participate in training is the inconvenient time of the training. Other reasons are the costs of the training, the remoteness of the training place and other commitments which preclude them from training. Multimedia and multiform training can lessen these problems. This article describes a survey where the needs and possibilities for the use of multimedia and multiform education in the training of employees have been analysed. The employees are of the opinion that, based on the skills they need in their work, training is mostly needed in information technology. If training aims to develop entrepreneurship, it should focus on development of information technology systems, work skills, management methods and communication skills. There are good opportunities to exploit the use of multimedia in the training of employees supposing that use of the PC is supervised and a trainee is given a PC for the whole of the training period.
