Abstract: Extended Enterprise (EE) is one of the latest organisational strategies in manufacturing. Traditional view of manufacturing companies with clear boundaries, limited relationships with other companies and a focus on internal efficiency and effectiveness is no longer adequate. With the rapid development of information technologies and continuous exacerbation of global competition, the extended enterprise has been considered as the most advanced and efficient form of modern product chain. Partner selection is one of the crucial problems in the formation and operation of an extended enterprise. Fuzziness in data is always a big challenge for the decision makers to act quickly. This paper proposes a fuzzy AHP model for the selection of partner companies in the formation of an extended enterprise.

Keywords: fuzzy AHP; extended enterprise; MCDM; partner selection; analytical hierarchy process; multicriteria decision making; manufacturing industry.
