Abstract: Accounting for more than 75% of the mass and more than 90% of the molecules (Air Products, 2001), hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. In the last decade, hydrogen has gained the attention of the automotive industry as an environmentally friendly alternative fuel. Additionally, growing hydrogen fuelling infrastructure is making hydrogen an increasingly appealing alternative to gasoline. In this paper, we present the major fuel cell vehicle accomplishments of the Ford Motor Company in the past 10 years.
