Title: A conversational model of online learning

Abstract: This paper presents a model for online learning that views learner-learner, learner-teacher and learner-peer conversations as being of central importance to knowledge construction or acquisition, especially on the internet and the World Wide Web. The paper also identifies and describes various tools for supporting the various conversations.
