Abstract: Technology Management in Europe is becoming recognised increasingly by industry as the key to its future competitive advantage. In parallel with this is the increasing demand for Technology Management education and training which is geared to meet industrial requirements. In the UK, the JUPITER Consortium is developing a collaborative, modular, Master|s degree in Technology Management in collaboration with industry and academia. In continental Europe, a number of other initiatives are developing training courses in partnership with industry and a few of these programs are discussed briefly. The European Technology Management Initiative (ETMI) provides a pro-active network to link these activities and to organise other activities such as conferences, workshops and courses.
