Abstract: The purpose of this work is to study the electrolysis of water for the production of hydrogen. A number of parameters, including salinity, voltage, current density and quantity of electricity, were investigated, and their effect on hydrogen production using a modified simple Hoffman electrolysis cell is reported.

Keywords: electrolysis; saline water; hydrogen production; solar energy; solar power; salinity; voltage; current density.
