Title: Sector priority and technology choice in the Korean machinery industry

Abstract: The objectives of this study are to use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to prioritize the Korean machinery sectors and to assist the selection of technology for given sector priorities. Results indicate that both the public and the private sectors consider the machine tools industry to be the most important. On technology choice, both sectors consider design and engineering technology to be the most important.
