Abstract: The role of continuity in organizational learning has been given relatively little attention by people who try to improve learning. It is argued that if people view learning as a process of renewal rather than a process of transformation, they are more likely to preserve the continuity with past experience that is a pre-condition of learning.

Keywords: renewal; organisational learning; continuity.
