Abstract: The main objective of any supply chain is to satisfy its customers by supplying goods and services at the right time, the right place, the right quantity and the right quality, which determines the productivity. This age of globalisation has made the pressure more intense for supply chains. In addition, the increased environmental concerns and stringent environmental laws have intensified the pressure on the business world. In this scenario, reverse logistics in Supply Chain Management (SCM) has received growing attention and plays a key role in the performance measurement of a firm. In this work, the remanufacturing system in a reverse logistics environment has been discussed, as it affects the performance of the reverse supply chain. A numerical example is provided for the proposed model.
