Abstract: After the discovery of Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) by Iijima in 1991, tremendous interest in this field of research work is going on for the future nanoelectronics device applications. But still it is not a clear idea about the clarification of growth mechanism of CNTs and to control the growth of CNTs based on their length, diameter, chiralities, impurities and non-uniformity. So, the question arises – whether CNTs will be a proper nanoelectronics device based material for the future world or not?

Keywords: CNTs; carbon nanotubes; non-uniformity; impurities; nanoelectronics based materials; nanotechnology.
