Abstract: This research note aims at analysing how different types of firms and their representatives in different regions view their respective environments. The analysis relies on three |perception variables|, two of them related to specific aspects of the regional conditions with respect to firms| innovation activities: research and technology, and the workforce. The third perception variable, i.e., the regional innovation climate, is more general and summarises the overall frame of the innovation conditions in the region.
