Abstract: Inorganic Fullerene-like (IF) of metal dichalcogenide MS2 (M = Mo, W) materials have been synthesised and applied in some fields, analogous layered compounds, like NbS2 andTaS2, were unstable in the planar form and tend to form closed cage structures with on the polyhedral or tubular shape. The main goal of the present work was to prepare tubular MS2 (M = Nb, Ta) nanostructures by solid-phase reaction method, which was an alternative route to prepare one dimension disulfide nanomaterials. The characterisation of associated products, have been evaluated using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and other techniques. Besides, growth process of nanostructures was discussed in detail.
