Abstract: The paper presents systematic design and development of pico-satellites focusing on CubeSats. Subsystems of these CubeSats are illustrated through several typical missions that have either been flown or are nearly ready for launch. Furthermore, the authors| recent projects including |RyCanSat|, |RyPicosat| and |RyF³ex| are discussed in detail. Finally, future missions involving femto-satellites are presented as a next generation of miniature satellites.
