Abstract: This paper contributes to the discussion about a future research agenda for European management research. Taking a comparative angle, it clarifies the potential scope of European comparative management research and develops a framework for developing and systematising future research efforts. The paper highlights three dimensions forming a research cube: the chosen units of analysis on different levels of social complexity; the core themes and the type of reasoning used when comparing units of analysis. Thus, this paper gives orientation in a growing field of research and allows more creative and surprising views on what to research.
