Abstract: MultiNational Enterprises (MNEs) are configured a lot more as important elements for knowledge creation and transfer between countries; therefore, the object of this study is to provide an answer to three research questions that enable us to know the general guidelines of MNEs as regards their attitude and behaviour in the Knowledge Management (KM) field, with special emphasis on the mechanisms used to create and transfer knowledge. Four enterprises located in Spain are analysed in depth, using a multiple case study method. The main results enable us to know the practical experience about the steps followed by these enterprises to undertake KM processes.
