Abstract: The article analyses the results of research on the microclimate and functional characteristics of the artificial insemination point for sheep of a mobile type of a new design, which is compared with similar indicators of a stationary point. The issues of optimal design of the point, the process of maintaining the microclimate, the productivity of the point, fruitful insemination and the results of sheep lambing are considered. A comparison of the dynamics of insemination and lambing of gimmers in flocks inseminated at mobile and stationary points is made. The authors conclude that the new design and its functional characteristics meet the standards of zoo technical requirements. Special attention is paid to the conditions of the process, devices for maintaining the microclimate, the effectiveness of fruitful insemination and sheep lambing. In comparison with stationary, the use of a mobile point reduces the specific operating costs by 20%-25%, meets the requirements of the environment, as it helps to reduce the concentration of sheep on the territory of the point, and ensures compliance with zoo technical requirements when obtaining the same results of insemination and lambing.
