Abstract: Software business, under increasing competition worldwide, needs automation and standardisation of its processes. The study aims at to curtail and automate the processes for new generation software projects characterised by small duration and quick delivery time. It attempts to distinguish the management processes from engineering processes. A process tool known as a |process configurator| has been recommended with inputs such as team size, schedule and scope. The impact of the |process configurator| across all projects of ABC Ltd. proactively addressed the reduction of process non-compliances and defects trends, and improvement of productivity.
