Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present a number of properties of the so-called Fundamental matrix sequence of a polynomial matrix, which plays a crucial role in the analysis and synthesis of multivariable systems described by second-order ARMA models. The presented properties are a generalization of the properties of Fundamental matrix in regular state and generalised state (singular) systems.
