Abstract: To alter their relationship with citizens, Public Administration (PA) has to reengineer their data architecture, removing redundancies in different databases and reconciling the heterogeneities present in data. Constructing a repository of conceptual schemas, where all information are represented in an integrated structure, is crucial to be able to face with redundancies and heterogeneities. This paper describes how such a repository should be organised. Furthermore, two different methodologies are proposed, to be used depending on domain knowledge and resources available in the process. These two methodologies are compared with respect to three different characteristics of the process of repository construction.
