Validated agile cost management success factors in software development projects

Abstract: Effective and efficient in managing agile project costs is important in ensuring the project is successful. Therefore, the objective of this paper to validates the success factors which contributed to the success of agile cost management. This paper outlines eight key success factors such as customer engagement, changes in requirements, communication, corporate culture, time allocation, simplicity, cost effective management process and selection computerised tool that contributes to an agile management costs. This study employed mixed method through questionnaires and interviews to collect data. The Rasch Measurement Model was used to analyse the results. The results showed that all eight factors contribute to the success of cost management agile. The results of this study can assist practitioners or academics in avoiding problems in managing the cost of the agile software development projects.
