Abstract: A new control scheme for single-phase bridgeless boost rectifier is proposed. The focus of this work is to achieve unity power factor for single-phase bridgeless boost rectifier by employing a model-based input resistive controller where the amplitude and frequency of the input voltage are not known. The single-phase bridgeless boost rectifier is modelled using averaged method and a feedback control scheme is designed to get the input resistive behaviour. Simulation has been done using MATLAB. Within the range of duty cycle from 20 to 75%, the lower THD and higher power factor are achieved. The proposed rectifier topology with resistive input controller is verified experimentally and the results are presented.
