Six Sigma: Indian contribution to the research

Abstract: Six Sigma has become a popular word among the industrialists, managers, academicians and many professionals these days. Despite being originated in manufacturing industry, it is also being used by service industries for their quality management programs. This paper deals with the literature published from 2006 to 2015 in 132 journals of repute and conference proceedings and analyses them to find the contribution of Indian authors towards the research in the field of Six Sigma. This paper classifies the literature according to the time distribution of articles, Indian contribution and category-wise focus of articles.
