Abstract: Microorganism and microbiological research is one of the vital research areas in the field of scientific research. But intellectual property rights regarding microorganism and microbiological research is still assaying as compared to the other areas. The present review furnishes a brief overview of the scenario regarding intellectual property right with special emphasis on microorganism and microbiological research in developed and developing countries. Deluging overview demonstrates that intellectual property right on microorganism and microbiological research expects major amendment.
