Abstract: The non-renewable energy resources are depleting at a fast rate, this makes the requirement of using renewable resources, as they are non-sustainable and will run out soon. One such renewable resource widely available is solar energy as it produces little or no waste. In order to harvest the solar energy efficiently, to produce electrical energy, the photovoltaic panel is integrated with solar tracking system. Mostly, the tracking systems, in use, consume the energy produced by solar panel for its rotation thus reducing the net output. In this paper, we propose to make use of wind energy for the rotation of the solar panel while tracking the sun. Thus the integration of wind energy driven system for driving the solar tracking system will enhance the energy harvested and also increase the efficiency of the system.
