Abstract: This study examined the impact of a proposed learner-centred microteaching model based on mobile technologies (LC-2MT) on the development of teacher candidates' teaching competencies. Experimental design set as a quasi-experiment was based on pre- and post-tests without a control group. Out of 35 teacher candidate participants, the findings showed that the (LC-2MT) proposed model had significant impact on the development of competencies (p = 0.05) based on the differences between pre- and post-mean-scores on all of the teaching competencies as follows: (a) lesson plan; (b) class room management; (c) facilitation and supporting; (d) teaching process; (e) assessment and evaluation. This study revealed that mobile technologies allowed the participants to spend more time collaboratively constructing meanings around teaching concept.
