Abstract: In this paper, the robust finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) filter design problem for uncertain multirate systems under wireless communication channel are investigated. A periodic system model is used to characterise the multirate nature and therefore, the uncertain cases can be dealt with easily. Both the FIR and IIR filter can be designed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the FIR and IIR filters.
