Abstract: Mobile learning plays a prominent role in the teaching and learning environment with the use of mobile devices. This study investigated the relationship between BYOD learning and the ability of students in absorptive knowledge gained. The sample included 201 undergraduate students from a business school and structural equation modelling was employed for hypothesis testing. It concluded that, the use of mobile technology in providing course-related knowledge is necessary to help improve the student's absorptive capacity. Apart from that, it was observed that students were more innovative when their absorptive capacity was enhanced within the BYOD setting.
