International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology (IJCAT), Vol. 3, No. 4, 1990

Abstract: The use of computers in the design of energy-efficient buildings has become a necessity because of the large number of parameters such designs involve and the need to meet standards that call for computer use. This paper shows how an initial design, developed in accordance with the proposed ASHRAE Standard 90.1 P 'Energy efficient design of new buildings except low-rise residential buildings', is modified to reduce the building's energy costs.
