Abstract: The field of a two-pole magnetic system, consisting of an AC electric machine stator with no secondary medium present, was computed using the finite-element method. The influence of the slot wedge value and that of the nonlinearity of the ferromagnetic parts on the field inhomogeneity and on the magnetic flux were determined. The application of an approximative expression for the flux density is specified.
