International Journal of Swarm Intelligence (IJSI), Vol. 1, No. 2, 2014

Abstract: A simple and accurate CAD technique for the synthesis of wideband printed transmission line transformers (TLTs) is being presented in this article using an evolutionary technique, namely, particle swarm optimisation (PSO). The design procedure is formulated as a global non-linear optimisation problem by defining a suitable cost function. The proposed theory has been validated with commercial circuit simulator Agilent's Advanced Design System software and compared with few measured results.
