Abstract: BaTiO3-based X8R dielectric materials were obtained by doping nano-size Zn-B-Si-O (ZBSO) during sintering, which was synthesised using a sol-gel method, and showed high activity and great dispersion properties. Moreover, the dielectric property of the ceramics was influenced by the ZBSO content and sintering temperature. When 3.0 wt% ZBSO nanocomposite was added, the ceramics sintered at as low as 1,150°C showed super dielectric properties that the dielectric constant was > 3,100 at 25°C and dielectric loss was lower than 2.0%. Of importance is that the temperature stability was improved with dielectric constant variation being less than ± 15% up to 150°C, meeting X8R standard.
