Indian mythological principles for management of present day organisations: some observations

Abstract: Our epics and holy books have been great sources of information and inspiration for the last many centuries. In addition to individuals and groups, various organisations have been seeking guidance for improving different functionalities and activities and effective management of human resources. This paper tries to focus on business ethical policies and standards that could be adopted from mythological characters and incidences which can be followed by organisations. This paper also explores attributes and strategies available in these epics and books for steering organisations towards growth and prosperity in this rapidly growing competitive world. Cases of successful practice of Indian mythological principles by organisations and employees are also reported.
