Abstract: A dynamic characteristic analysis is firstly performed for the purpose of identifying the eigenvalues problem under different velocities of a pitch and plunge degree-of-freedom aerofoil system. Then the open-loop and closed-loop for aeroelastic system is derived. The receptance method is described and shown to be very suitable for aeroelastic system. Finally, a numerical example of 2D aerofoil model is demonstrated successfully by simulating aeroelastic system with the control force excitation being provided by a control surface. The results show that the velocity of the flutter speed for the open-loop aeroelastic system is very limited, but it could be extended by active control.
