Abstract: India with its growing population is offering a huge business opportunity to the customer acquiring firms. As a result more firms are seeking ways to enter the gateway of India. It has been observed that the rise in country's GDP is increasing the disposable income of the Indians and thus influencing their purchasing power. It is expected that the number of players in these sectors will not be able to fulfil the needs of the increasing customer base. There are golden prospects for firms in all major business sectors that is, education, healthcare, telecommunication, etc. However, it is not easy to enter the Indian market as exhibited by the failure stories of many renowned organisations. The firms need to strategise their actions before implementation and have to look at the different related aspects of India and its people.
