International Journal of Technology, Policy and Management (IJTPM), Vol. 13, No. 1, 2013

Abstract: The study focused on creating customer value by applying process reengineering as the central concern of teaching and the redesigning of course contents, using Total Quality Management (TQM) to enhance teaching quality. A course "Introduction to Operations Research" was used as the empirical study. The results showed that VCTM is superior to Traditional Teaching Method (TTM) in that students' scores on exams were raised. Students' notion of the course value was changed, and their doubt regarding the feasibility of the course was also clarified. In addition, students receiving VCTM displayed higher student satisfaction than those students instructed via TTM.
