Some experiences in industrial mathematics

Abstract: Mathematics is a key issue for the technological development. However in many European countries the relation between mathematics and industry is very weak. In this article, the author gives his view on the situation of industrial mathematics from his own experience of more than 25 years of research and collaboration with several companies of different sectors.
