Conference report: Prospects of a civil nuclear liability authority in the framework of the European Union

Abstract: The long-awaited conference on perspectives considering a civil liability authority within the framework of the European Union took place at the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels on 17 and 18 June 2010. The conference was jointly organised by the European Commission (DG Energy) and the Brussels Nuclear Law Association, which is the regional branch of the International Nuclear Law Association. The reports outlines the salient points from the conference.
