International Journal of Technology Management (IJTM), Vol. 25, No. 6/7, 2003

Abstract: This paper presents a method of users' needs assessment in order to estimate future need by the investigation of an existing need through a questionnaire, and presents the results of its application to a colour television set case study. The proposed method is designed on the basis of the ''stimulus-response model'', ''product characteristics'' and factor analysis. The results allow us to identify some effective factors of users' needs and important dynamic changes that indicate the trend of the users' needs.
