An integrated national open apprenticeship scheme as a baseline strategy for technological development

Abstract: The main thesis of this paper is that the National Open Apprenticeship Scheme of the Nigerian National Directorate of Employment should be integrated into the mainstream of the national educational and socio-technical development program as a baseline strategy for national technological development. By considering particular vocational occupational areas, the paper presents a structural and operational model of the proposed integrated scheme.
