International Journal of Technology Management (IJTM), Vol. 4, No. 1, 1989

Abstract: The rising industrial sophistication of the Pacific basin holds great opportunities for service firms in high-technology industries like computers and data processing. However, the investment and marketing opportunities are not shared equally among all the member countries. From strategic viewpoints it may seem better to target each country in terms of its long term perspectives and ability to contribute to the integrated market development of the whole area. Cross-linking of activities, particularly, should enable a firm to exploit the full market potential without over-extending itself.
