Moving towards a single market

Abstract: The removal of market barriers in Europe will lead to major changes in the structure of the automotive component industry. This paper examines the implications of a more unified European market, and the wider movement towards a single global marketplace. It sets out the tasks for vehicle manufacturers and the supplier industry in revising business patterns, and looks at the scope for strategic alliances.
