BIPASS: Design of alternative splicing services
by Zoe Lacroix, Christophe Legendre
International Journal of Computational Biology and Drug Design (IJCBDD), Vol. 1, No. 2, 2008

Abstract: We analyse the motivations that led the development of services to support alternative splicing studies. We discuss data modelling issues and illustrate them with the BioInformatics Pipeline for Alternative Splicing Services (BIPASS). We identify the specific needs that an alternative splicing service should address, and compare existing services with respect to a common matrix of functionalities. We conclude with a discussion on future work needed to offer a more complete suite of services.
