Abstract: This paper analyses investment made in higher education as well as Research and Development (R&D) in Poland and other OECD and EU countries. The aim of this paper is to assess the amount of investment made in higher education in Poland when compared with other countries as well as to verify the thesis that Poland is among the countries with the lowest budgets for higher education and R&D.
