Abstract: Educational Multimedia (EMM) today is an integral part of teaching and learning systems. However, EMM selection for higher education is a complex problem. In this work, we investigate the viability of developing and a web-based GDSS, integrated with knowledge management and instructional design, as a support tool to overcome the difficulties in the selection of EMMs. The proposed solution supports the six phases of planning, intelligence, design, choice, implementation, and evaluation. Performance evaluation is also presented using data collected from experts, instructors, and EMM producers. The results reveal that the proposed solution can successfully help in selecting and evaluating EMMs.
