Assessment of loan portfolio and non-performing assets in the Indian microfinance sector
http://www.inderscience.com/link.php?id=135465
Microfinance has been proven to be an enabler for the eradication of poverty, women empowerment, and employment generation. The success of microfinance interventions largely depends on the type of loan, its utilisation, and the overall status of non-performing assets in the sector. This evidence-based article using secondary data from the Indian microfinance sector discusses two important questions regarding the Indian microfinance sector: One on the portfolio of micro-loans and the second question on the condition of non-performing assets in the sector. The findings of the study are significant because it indicates the credit situation, which depicts the overall health of the Indian microfinance sector.

Do CSR practices improve firms' innovation capacity and performance: empirical evidence from Moroccan FDI in Sub-Saharan Africa
http://www.inderscience.com/link.php?id=135474
This paper aims to investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility practices on firm performance among Moroccan firms operating in Sub-Sahara countries. We propose and test a thorough structural model incorporating different aspects of CSR and their effect on firm performance, with innovative capacity as mediator. Based on data collected from 200 managers, the study hypotheses were assessed using structural equation modelling. Our findings suggest a significant impact of CSR practices on performance. We also demonstrate a partial mediation of innovative capacities in the nexus between CSR practices and firm performance. This study's findings extend prior literature and suggest a number of theoretical and practical implication.

How does the role of gender perspective and self-efficacy minimise the negative impacts of abusive leaders? An experimental design study
http://www.inderscience.com/link.php?id=135471
This study aims to develop a new research model by adding the role of gender and self-efficacy moderation to clarify the inconsistent relationship between abusive leaders and work outcomes. This study uses a laboratory experimental study design with four stages of study to test the formulated hypothesis. The statistical method applies analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of this study indicate that individuals who are given abusive treatment by their leaders tend to display lower levels of job satisfaction, organisational citizenship behaviour (OCB), and individual performance than individuals who are not given abusive treatment. When individuals who are given abusive treatment are masculine and have high self-efficacy, the negative impact of abusive treatment on work outcomes will decrease. Individuals who are masculine and have high self-efficacy tend to have higher levels of job satisfaction, OCB, and performance than individuals in other experimental groups.

The role of democratic leadership style and organisational learning in innovations and financial performance of enterprises
http://www.inderscience.com/link.php?id=135481
The main purpose of this paper is to provide an empirical assessment of the relationship between democratic leadership style and organisational learning on innovation and financial performance of private sector businesses in North Macedonia, using cross-sectional data. PLS-SEM was used to assess the relationship between the observed variables. The findings suggest that there is a positive relationship between democratic leadership style and organisational learning. Also, it was found that organisational learning has a positive relationship with innovations. On the other hand, democratic style, organisational learning and innovations have a positive effect on increasing financial performance. The findings of this study add value to the literature in this field, which also serves as a useful reference for future research. While, regarding the practical view, these findings can help businesses to create a business model that focuses on organisational learning, democratic leadership and innovation thus creating better financial results.
