International Journal of Physiotherapy and Life Physics (IJPLP) ISSN (Online): 2040-4557 - ISSN (Print): 2040-4549 Published in 4 issues per year (View Subscription Price) IJPLP provides a scientific and academic platform for the booming, developing area of various natural medicines, such as acupuncture, music therapy, infrared therapy, soft-laser therapy, electric pulse therapy, sauna therapy, foot-bath therapy, massage, meditation, psychotherapy, hand-touching therapy, pray therapy etc. Most of these could be included under the name of physiotherapy in the classification of modern science, since there is no chemical compound involved in the process of these therapies.
Over the last three decades, these kinds of natural therapies have become increasingly fashionable all over the world. And they will ever-more widely used in chronic diseases, psychosomatic diseases and preventive healthcare in future. However, there is an urgent need for the understanding of these natural medicines in terms of modern science. Therefore, the purpose IJPLP is to promote research in this area in according to the rigorous criteria of modern science. IJPLP also fosters research into ancient medicines in various cultures in order to excavate the ancient wisdom to enrich modern science.
Biochemistry is the base of conventional western school medicine, whereas, biophysics is the base of many natural medicines. Therefore, IJPLP not only furthers the development of natural medicines, including many ancient medicines, but also the further development of modern physics.
Objectives
The objectives of IJPLP are to establish an effective channel of communication between medical policy makers, medical insurances institutions, government agencies, academic and research institutions, scientists, medical doctors and medical practitioners etc.
It also aims to promote and coordinate developments in the field of natural medicines and physics. The international dimension is emphasised in order to promote the exchange of different ways of thinking and different methods in medicine, which have been developed in different cultures since early times, because such exchange is not only a big challenge to existing medical systems and existing knowledge of modern science, but also an opportunity for the further development of medical systems and modern science in the time of globalisation.
Readership
IJPLP provides a vehicle to help medical doctors, medical practitioners, academics, researchers, medical industry, medical insurance, research foundations and medical policy makers to disseminate information and to learn from each other's work. Contents
