Abstracting/Indexing Services and Journal Lists

   Objectives

The objectives of IJIMS are to establish an effective channel of communication between academy, industry and others concerned with Internet/Web based manufacturing science and technologies, services theory and methods on Internet, and corresponding management issues. It also aims to promote and coordinate the developments in the areas mentioned above. The international dimension is emphasised in order to overcome cultural and national barriers and to meet the needs of accelerating technological and ecological changes in global manufacturing, services and management.

   Readership

IJIMS provides a vehicle to help professionals, academics, researchers and engineers, working in the areas of Internet/Web based manufacturing science and technologies, services theory and methods on Internet, and corresponding management issues, to disseminate research outcomes and practical case studies, and learn from each other’s work.

   Contents

IJIMS publishes original papers, review papers, research notes, case studies, etc. Special issues devoted to important topics in Internet manufacturing, services and management will occasionally be published.

IJIMS topics include, but are not limited to:

• Internet/Web infrastructure, computing models, protocols, middleware, data warehouses, web portals and interfaces
• Semantic Web, ontology, XML, catalogues/directories and search engines

• Collaboration on Internet/Web, including applications in product development, manufacturing, services, management, etc
• E-commerce/e-business methods and environment related to manufacturing and services
• Fundamentals, methods, enabling technologies, tools, and applications for various e-technologies including e-manufacturing, e-service, e-design, e-maintenance, e-market, e-management, e-learning, e-supply chain, etc
• Mathematical methods in Internet manufacturing, services and knowledge management, including algebra, rough set theory, statistics, complex network theory, computing geometry, game theory, fuzzy mathematics, soft computing, etc
• High performance computing methods, visualisation and real-time information tracking on networks
• Artificial intelligence and applications
• Sensor networks, coordinate measurement, digital sampling and metrology
• New principles and new methods for various networked hardware units/systems including CNC/STEP NC controllers, IP sensors, logic controllers, etc
• Digital equipment and Internet/Web applications for manufacturing and services
• RFID technologies and applications in manufacturing, supply chain, and services
• Wireless manufacturing on Internet
• Networked virtual reality technology and applications

   Specific Notes for Authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has been completely re-written and the author has cleared any necessary permissions with the copyright owner if it has been previously copyrighted). All authors must declare they have read and agreed to the content of the submitted manuscript. A full statement of our Ethical Guidelines for Authors is available.
