As per the latest World Bank report on remittances, India is the largest recipient of foreign remittance. Although there are many remittance service providers (RSPs) operating in the market, yet a lot of remittance amount is lost in transaction owing to various costs associated with transferring such amount. The current study is an attempt to understand the competitive landscape of the remittance marketplace operating in the various migrant origin countries selected for analysis and compare their cost of sending money to India over a period of time (2014-Q1 to 2018-Q2). The study also identifies major cost transfer determinants using panel data analysis. The study has major policy implications. Journal: Int. The scientific literature of management consulting affirms that this industry is an extraordinary sector and a phenomenon in the business context, however, there's a lack of research in this area to deeply understand how the sector is able to continue to be attractive and sustainable. To approach the lack of studies in this emerging area, this article aims to understand the role of consultants as knowledge-providers and simultaneously to realise the relative importance of the type of relationships to be built. Semi-structured interviews and questionnaires were applied to management consultants and SME managers in Portugal. Results show that consultants should provide not only a strategic but also structural perspective in the development of their work, relationships that are created within projects, between projects, and those that are created before projects. Hence, it is important for organisations to understand the values and perspectives that they bring to work. With millennials already in leadership positions in many organisations worldwide and many of them soon going to assume leadership roles, it is crucial to understand their way of leading people. Millennials were born in a time when more and more women started to join workforce. The present study tries to bring out observable differences in the leadership skills of male and female managerial leaders who belong to the Indian service sector. Practical implications related to gender diversity, inclusion and the glass ceiling that women in leadership roles face have also been discussed. Journal: Int. The study used the dynamic generalised methods of moments (dynamic GMM) with annual panel data covering the period from 2005 to 2019. Economic growth was found to have non-significantly reduced poverty whilst financial development significantly reduced poverty levels in emerging markets. On the other hand, the complementarity between economic growth and financial development was found to have enhanced poverty reduction efforts in emerging markets. Financial development was found to be a channel through which economic growth reduced poverty in emerging markets. Emerging markets are therefore urged to implement financial development enhancement policies in order to successfully fight off poverty. Journal: Int. The instrument includes four blocks (top management, supplier, process management and customer) and nine factors, as well as 35 variables based on a sample of 73 companies in the Peruvian supermarket sector. In this sector, companies with and without the quality management system did not have significant differences in the nine TQM factors. It is also analysed if ISO 9000:2015 principles are considered in the TQM factors and if the managers in the companies are doing what they are asked in the questionnaire. This study gives a new perception and new insights about the management of the supermarket sector in Peru in terms of quality and the important impact that this topic have in these companies. A more comprehensive exploration of supermarket's quality management in developing countries with a different perspective would be useful for enhancing the literature. Journal: Int. Concern about health is one of the pressing factors in human life. García et al. (2011) have envisaged the growth of the global health industry. Understanding and mapping psychological setup towards fitness is the key to determining consumer attitude (Lee et al., 2019). This paper has attempted to gauge the customer preference spectrum among the most promising target segment for the health industry namely: Generation X, millennial, and Generation Z. This study is directed towards identifying motivational factors (drivers) of the generations. A multivariate data analysis method was used in this study. In this study, it was found that motivational factors statistically differ among cohorts of generations selected for the study. The research has implications for marketers, psychologists, and fitness trainers. Journal: Int. To improve relationship quality, it is imperative to identify its antecedents. The purpose of this study was, by following a disaggregated approach, to establish the predictability of three antecedents (customer intimacy, communication effectiveness and relationship investment) on relationship quality and one of its outcomes, namely customer loyalty. Data were collected from 258 South African banking customers by means of self-administered questionnaires. Results showed that customer intimacy and communication effectiveness predict all three relationship quality dimensions, namely satisfaction, trust and commitment. In contrast, relationship investment predicted only trust. Finally, although commitment did not predict loyalty, both satisfaction and trust did, with satisfaction being the strongest predictor of customer loyalty. Journal: Int. After regression analysis on a set of panel data from 2013 to 2018 of 24 selected PCFs in Vietnam, it appeared that the age of PCFs and productivity have positive relationships with financial performance; the credit growth rate and non-performing loan ratio have negative relationships with financial performance. The debt-to-loan ratio has a positive relationship with return on equity, but it has a negative relationship with return on assets. The equity growth rate, deposit, debt-to-loan ratio, return on assets have positive relationships with productivity. The depth of outreach, loan-to-deposit ratio, return on equity and non-performing loan ratio have negative relationships with productivity. The study found the bidirectional interactions between productivity and financial performance. Through the findings, this study helps managers understand the key determinants for better management of PCFs. Journal: Int. The objective of this study is: 1) to examine the linkage between persistent Tunisian current account deficit and a broad set of macroeconomic variables related to fiscal, monetary and trade policies between 1980-2018; 2) enlighten policy makers in their decision-making process related to the adjustment mechanisms. Based on ARDL approach, the key findings of this study show robust empirical evidence of short and long-run effects of fiscal and monetary policies, while the effect of trade policy is only apparent in the short-term. Therefore, we conclude that, in the short-term, both a tight monetary policy and a balanced fiscal budget are necessary to adjust the current account balance. However, these reforms are not sufficient; making the Tunisian current account deficit sustainable requires structural changes to the economy over the long-term. Journal: Int. Statistics showed that 57% of Malaysians use a smartphone, and since the percentage diffusion of smartphones will increase, this enhances the opportunities in creating a value-added payment method to consumers. The explanations on the factors influencing adoption of NFC include HMSAM, MISC, and absorptive capacity. Since many past studies focused on the basic foundation theories of DOI, TAM, and UTAUT, hence this study will address the technology acceptance in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. This paper is capable of enhancing the literature on user-related and system-specific factors pertaining to NFC mobile payments. It delivers valuable recommendations to researchers in their investigations on the issues related to NFC mobile payment besides benefiting industrial practitioners by assisting in advertising campaigns, designing the mobile wallet by focusing on target market's expectations, needs, and aesthetic values and experiences. The advantages of using hotel mobile apps include easy and convenient access to information and services. However, the relative intention of adopting such applications among the millennial population remained under-explored. Furthermore, perceived personalisation in the context of technological adoption has been found to play a significant role. This study addresses this gap in the academic literature by adopting the mobile technology acceptance model (MTAM) as the theoretical base. The findings indicate that attitude towards adopting mobile applications coupled with perceived security plays a significant role on the intention to adopt. The study further identified a strong mediating effect of personalisation across most of the constructs. Empirical findings from this study contribute by providing useful and practical insights to the academics, mobile technologies developers and the general public. Journal: Int. Most organisations are investing more in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which is a very critical area as negligence due to increasing demand for agility is rising. Therefore, the purpose of the present research is to measure the users' acceptance of an enterprise resource planning system. Applied research and the statistical population of this study include all employees of organisations following the ERP systems. In this research, the organisation's resource planning system is examined using four practical factors on the choice of ERP: including implementation cost, seller, software quality, and software capabilities of functionality. The theory of rough sets is used to analyse the data. After the establishment of standardised decision tables, the consecutive and incompatible cases are identified at the next stage, and then the reduction tables are obtained. Finally, the results of analysing 154 ERP users by rough set theory generally show that the seller and software quality increase the acceptance of establishing an ERP system. Journal: Int. The global human assets have been compelled to be lockdown and were made to maintain social distancing by the order of governments. Even in some cases, people by themselves have started taking precautionary measures to safeguard themselves, their near ones and the world at large. These steps of governments and people have stressed various economic variables. To understand the interrelation among various distressed economic variables so identified through literature, interpretive structure modelling (ISM) was applied to understand the hierarchical relationship among the variables. The results of the model and MICMAC analysis indicate that heavy expenditure on social security, rise in unemployment, catastrophe containment and relief fund and emergency fund are the top-level economic variables. The findings of this work suggest how global policymakers are creating and using various funds to mitigate health and human assets of the world. Journal: Int. This has given rise to an immediate need to develop efficient managerial strategies, and investigations into the psychological contract could help discover, understand and exploit the variables better, to improve profits and efficiency of academic institutes, just like other organisations. This need is further emphasised by the lack of research regarding the psychological contract in academic institutions, especially in the Indian context. With the objective of attempting to remediate the paucity of understanding, appropriate data was collected from faculty members from different academic institutions from different cities in India. The effects of variables age, gender and educational qualifications, on awareness, features and satisfaction levels of psychological contract among them were assessed. Analysis shows that many faculty members and even management seem unaware of the existence of psychological contract and that the features of psychological contract provided by the management are dependent on ages of the respondents. The growth of crowdfunding platforms is a clear elucidation of its acceptance by the people involved in seeking and contributing funds. For Malaysian customers who mostly prefer Islamic financing and banking, crowdfunding acceptance will be a topic worth examining. The study has extended the technology acceptance model (TAM) to examine the intention of Islamic banking customers to use crowdfunding in the near future. The study has found that abiding by the Shariah regulations is a must for any crowdfunding platform planning to target this segment of the market. Perceived ease of use influences the usefulness of crowdfunding and later shapes the attitude towards crowdfunding. A positive attitude towards crowdfunding will lead to the intention to use crowdfunding in the existence of compliance with Shariah regulations. Journal: Int. The current study aims to identify practices of CSR in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia and their impact on sustainable development indicators. Using qualitative and quantitative analysis of data collected by a questionnaire from 54 companies, the outcomes indicate that the social side and relationship with society represent the most important practices of CSR. The results also point out that the ethical motivation of senior management and enhancing the mental image of the company are the most important reasons that drive the company to adopt social responsibility practices. In addition, the results of the regression models show little impact of social responsibility practices on the dimensions of sustainable development in the region where the significant impact of social responsibility practices was limited to the social and voluntary side. The study provides some suggestions and recommendations that can enhance CSR in Saudi Arabia and so increase its impact on sustainable development. Journal: Int. Studies conducted to date have not focused on their effect collectively. The present study focuses on providing a unique contribution by examining the overall impact of servicescape on perceived overall image in which emotional states of affect: pleasure, arousal, and dominance act as moderators affecting the behavioural intentions of customers. Being distinctive in the segment of beauty salons, the study tests the hypothesised relationship of the model proposed through confirmatory factor analysis and partial least squares-structural equation modelling tools for statistical inferences. The outcome of the study emerged as explaining the impact of servicescape on customers play a key role in affecting perceived overall image shaping behavioural intentions moderated by their emotional states of affect. The moderating role of pleasure feeling has a significantly high moderating effect than arousal or dominance. Journal: Int. Regarding the remuneration indexed to objectives, from the people consulted in this study, the conclusion is that it's still not a generalised practise in the hotel industry. Adding to that, we found that between women and men who are in the same profession as hotel managers, generally speaking there are more men. This study was carried out with hotel managers affiliated to the Associação de Directores de Hotéis de Portugal. The results show that the average income is about 35,000 euros per year, corresponding to a gross monthly salary of 2,961.89 euros. People working in countries outside the EU earn better salaries than people working in Portugal. It was found that, although the profession is predominantly male, there were no changes in gross income when compared to the gender level. Most respondents (51.5%) do not receive any annual performance awards. Journal: Int. The data were collected through surveys on customers of cosmetics companies in Vietnam. The results show that emailing and messaging do not have a significant effect on customer entitlement while firm's preferential treatment towards customers, provision of tangible rewards, and interpersonal communication are significantly associated to customer entitlement. The results also indicate that customer entitlement dramatically influences customer complaint behaviour while the impact of customer entitlement on customer citizenship behaviour is significant, but the magnitude of the effect is modest. Interestingly, customer entitlement serves as a significant partial mediator in the effects of relationship marketing tactics on customer citizenship behaviour and complaint behaviour. The study concludes with significant theoretical and practical implications for service management. Journal: Int.
